Dr. Martin Zollinger has proudly served Ottawa with top-tier chiropractic care for over a decade. His mission goes beyond pain relief; it’s about restoring and preserving his patients’ health. With unwavering integrity and a commitment to lifelong learning, he inspires and educates individuals in the principles of chiropractic healthcare.
Trained in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), Dr. Zollinger firmly believes that spinal misalignments, known as subluxations, can trigger various health concerns. His approach involves correcting these misalignments, leading to remarkable enhancements in overall health and well-being. CBP is a renowned method for addressing prevalent issues such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, CBP practitioners are dedicated to educating patients on the significance of maintaining proper posture, ergonomics, and adopting lifestyle modifications to sustain the benefits of treatment and ward off future spinal issues.
From Patient to Practitioner
Dr. Zollinger’s journey into chiropractic care began as a professional cyclist, where he experienced the physical toll on his body. Seeking improvement in health and performance, he engaged with chiropractors to stay in optimal form. This quest led him to pursue exercise science at the University of British Columbia and later to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
A Family Committed to Wellness
As a proud father of four boys, Dr. Zollinger and his family practice what they preach. They lead active, healthy lives, enjoying activities such as cycling, running, triathlons, downhill and cross-country skiing.

So what’s with the popping associated with certain types of Chiropractic adjustments? Isn’t cracking your joints supposed to be bad for you?
Not all Chiropractic techniques involve the ‘cavitation’ of joints (the escape of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, which releases joint pressure). Some use table or instrument assisted adjustments where no appreciable cavitation is experienced. The ones that do however are no less safe, comfortable and effective at reducing spinal fixation, clearing nerve interference (subluxations) and improving your health. As a matter of fact, it’s been shown by John Hopkins University that joint cavitation (specifically in the hand) does not contribute to the formation of arthritis as once believed!
When you hear the noise from a professionally delivered adjustment, it’s similar to the pressure release you get from opening a bottle of champagne. It’s like having a party in your spine! Ultimately, with less pressure your joints move better, line up better and just plain feel better.
