An adjustment is a highly skilled and specific movement usually applied by hand or instrument to the various joints of the spine and of the body. An adjustment’s goal is to restore proper movement, improve function and regulate the nervous system as a whole. There are many gentle techniques used regularly by chiropractors and adjusting methods are determined by a patient’s treatment goals and comfort level.

X-rays are taken only if needed in the diagnostic process. After the doctor has conducted a thorough case history and physical examination of the patient they will determine whether X-rays are needed in support of the diagnostic and treatment plan.

Prior to your first visit you will complete a confidential health history form. Your therapist will assess and create a treatment plan for you. Your therapist will review your health history and discuss any health concerns you may have. Your therapist will develop a treatment plan unique to you whether it is for relaxation, muscle soreness or any other specialized treatments.

At Back in Balance, our sincere intention is to provide the highest quality of care. Our highly trained team will determine a plan that will best serve you on your healing journey. If needed, supporting services may be recommended.

When Everything Feels Like Too Much

Burnout, low mood, and anxious thoughts aren’t signs of weakness—they’re signals from your nervous system that something needs care.

This week, we’re offering two evidence-informed tips that can help interrupt the spiral and create a small moment of relief:

If you’re feeling burned out, try giving 30% instead of 100.
Research on self-compassion shows that adjusting expectations to match your capacity can prevent further emotional exhaustion and reduce feelings of failure. Today, give yourself permission to do less—without guilt.

Anxiety thrives on unbroken thought spirals.
Use a pattern interrupt from cognitive behavioural therapy: change your environment for 2 minutes. Step outside, stretch, drink cold water—anything that briefly disrupts the cycle of worry.

Looking for more personalized tips? We now offer dedicated support for anxiety, burnout, and mood-related concerns—integrating mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
