Paty started at BIB in 2005 when the clinic moved to the new beautiful location on Byron Street. Paty started as a Wellness Assistant with Dr. Ellard and then moved on to become Clinic Manager. She tried to retire in 2015 and had some other adventures, before coming back to BIB in 2023. When you love something you can’t give it up!
Paty loves the amazing energy and teamwork at BIB, the fulfilling work and how everyone so genuinely cares for all patients and clients. Meeting people and seeing patients/clients’ wellness progress with their practitioners is one of the greatest aspects of her job. One of her favourite things to do as a manager is to find each Wellness Assistant’s individual strengths, and promote that in the work they do. The incredible amount of different services offered at BIB gives Paty endless motivation to create new ideas, strategies and marketing with practitioners to help them reach their goals. Paty also loves interior decorating as well as decorating for holidays, so you can often find her adding her touch to the clinic. Her weakness are babies and children and she loves seeing them at the clinic.
Paty and her husband have 4 kids and a large family, and Paty is happiest when their home is filled with family and friends. In her down time, she loves walking her 3 dogs in the forest, swimming, reading and travelling with her husband.
Paty strongly believes in the pillars of life balance which include health and wellness, and she feels extremely lucky to be surrounded by such a great network of amazing practitioners at BIB, both to work with and to support her own wellness.
Jessica is one of our Wellness Assistants at the clinic, and now works remotely from PEI. If you give the clinic a call during Dr. Ellard's shifts, you might be able to catch up with her on the phone or have her help you book your appointments from afar!
Jessica comes to the clinic as a Medical Office Admin graduate, and has many years of administrative and retail experience. Jessica has a unique ability to empathize with our patients after experiencing undiagnosed Lyme Disease and autoimmune conditions, conditions that were only improved after seeking care from various practitioners in the wellness sector.
Jessica is BIB’s Creative Coordinator, and you can enjoy seeing her fantastic work on all our in-house, social media and website signs and posters. Jessica is also well known in the clinic for her amazing attention to detail, great ability to see the bigger picture and excellent work ethic.
In her spare time, Jessica can be found going on hikes, swimming, reading, watching movies, or painting. Jessica believes in the importance of taking care of both the body and the soul, recognizing that true well-being stems from nurturing all aspects of ourselves.
Currently on maternity leave with her 2nd child.

She is very passionate about health and wellness, and runs a side business called Sundial Superfoods, creating Superfood Raw Chocolate and selling other high-quality Superfoods. With her wonderful personality, organizational skills and fabulous phone etiquette, Victoria helps BIB patients with all their needs.
In her off time Victoria can be found lifting kettlebells, doing yoga and going for walks with her growing family. Victoria has a one-year-old son and is expecting a daughter in September! She also loves connecting with expecting, new and tenured Mamas in the clinic!
Meet Patricia, a vibrant individual hailing from the picturesque land of El Salvador. With a stellar academic background, she joined our clinic as a Medical Office Administrator after earning her honors diploma from Everest College. Patricia's presence at the clinic is more than just professional; it's an opportunity for our patients and clients to indulge in practicing their Spanish, a language she holds dear.
Beyond her role at the front desk, Patricia's infectious energy and warm smile welcome everyone who steps into BIB. Her contributions extend beyond administrative duties; she effortlessly handles accounting and organizational tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Outside of her work hours, Patricia dedicates her time to various active pursuits. She is a fitness enthusiast, often found honing her skills at the gym under the guidance of her personal coaches. Amidst her busy schedule, she manages to make time for doctor's appointments, facials, and meticulous meal preparation, showcasing her commitment to overall well-being.
Adding to her bustling life are her two boys, aged 12 and 7, who share her love for sports, particularly basketball and soccer. Their shared passion keeps Patricia on her toes, actively engaged in their activities and matches.
Alongside her husband and children, Patricia explores the vibrant city of Ottawa, relishing in numerous outings and adventures. As a family, they attend sporting events both in Canada and the USA, passionately cheering for local teams. One of Patricia's favorite times of the year is spring in Canada, when she can immerse herself in the beauty of tulips, her beloved flowers.
Patricia's creativity knows no bounds; her artistic talents grace our clinic's blackboard sign outside and our whiteboard inside, adding a touch of elegance and charm to our space. With her multifaceted abilities and unwavering enthusiasm, Patricia enriches the BIB experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Kayla is originally from Perth, Ontario, but moved to Ottawa almost 20 years ago and is loving every minute of it. She loves baking and cooking, cycling, and going on nature walks on all of the gorgeous trails in and around Ottawa. She is a graduate of both Carleton University and Algonquin College and is proud to call Ottawa home.
Kayla is our newest Wellness Assistant and has brought her kindness and cheerfulness to our BIB family, while learning all her new duties very quickly. She is really looking forward to getting to know all the great patients and clients that come in so do say hi next time you’re in!

Celia has been living in the lovely neighborhood of Westboro for over 36 years and we love to call her the Duchess of Westboro. Celia went to school down the street from her family home, and has worked various jobs along Richmond Rd. It is very apparent in Celia’s wonderful warm and engaging personality that she enjoys connecting with people and always has time to say hello or to give a beaming smile to everyone.
Celia is passionate about preparing fresh and local food. She has beautiful gardens of fresh herbs, veggies and flowers at home, and with her great green thumb, she brings BIB’s plants and flowers to life. Celia has a background in interior decorating, staging homes and helping people de-clutter.
Outside of work she likes to spend most of her time with her pets, family and friends, or relaxing at the cottage.
Crystal was born and raised in Ottawa (Barrhaven on the Green), to be exact. She moved out west in 2006 to Calgary and then to Victoria, where she started her family. After being away for 17 years, she has moved home with her teenage daughter, ready to start a new chapter of life.
She has a great passion for food, always creating new recipes and modifying them to suit her dietary needs. Being diagnosed with IBS and having food sensitivities, she is constantly on the look out for good food she and others can enjoy.
In her free time, you can find her in her happy place in her hammock with a snack and a book. In the winter, she is either skiing or skating on the canal.
