The Environmental Working Group has created a list called the “Dirty Dozen”, describing the produce that contains the most pesticides.  For example, some of these contain 47 to 67 pesticides PER SERVING.  Yes, that’s right, per serving.  Shocking.

Thankfully, they also list the “Clean 15”.  Buying organic can be more expensive, and these guidelines help to figure out where to spend extra dollars on organic produce.
