Gavin Featherstone, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist, BSc Kinesiology
Gavin Featherstone is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), with a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. He has dedicated most of his life to helping others achieve their personal fitness and wellness goals. Recognizing that the body and mind work together to maintain balance, it is the intention of massage therapy to remove any blocks that may compromise the system.
Gavin is also a Fitness Instructor with GoodLife Fitness, National Trainer for Les Mills Canada, Master Trainer for TRX Team and is a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. He currently is a college professor at the International Academy of Massage Therapy. Most importantly, he is a new dad to the cutest little boy on earth, named Levi, born in Oct 2012.
Gavin has been involved in sports his whole life, including participating in Provincial and National fast ball tournaments in his teen years. While he loves every sport imagineable, his passion now is triathlons. He has competed successfully in the Lake Placid Ironman in 2005, 2007 and 2010, and the 70.3 Ironman in Muskoka in 2008 and 2009.
Gavin stays connected with the community through many different avenues. He regularly volunteers his time at the local triathlons and road races. Also, being a Lululemon Ambassador Alumni has him working events such as teaching a couples massage seminar, stretching seminars and co-facilitating a run club. He enjoys helping people connect to health and wellness.
