Oksana received her medical diploma from National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine. After graduating she worked as an orthopedic surgeon for eighteen years. During her time working with trauma patients Oksana developed her interest in the area of treatment and prevention of pain in surgical patients. Learning more about musculoskeletal pain and injuries as well as rehabilitation and prevention brought her to the area of osteopathy.
After moving to Canada she furthered her interest in these areas and graduated with honors from the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy in Mississauga.
During her studies Oksana conducted research and wrote a thesis on osteopathic treatment for hip joint pain due to osteoarthritis. In her work she focused on reducing joint pain and restoring joint mobility through joint mobilization techniques, osteopathic muscle energy techniques as well as visceral and cranial techniques. She also received her certification in cold laser therapy which can be beneficial for the treatment of pain and inflammation.
Oksana is passionate about providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of conditions. She is always learning new techniques and methods that help her improve quality of life for her
patients and treat or minimize their symptoms. Oksana is a member of the National Manual Osteopathic Society.
In her spare time Oksana likes to spend time with her family and friends, walking, travelling and reading.
